Learning opportunities extend far beyond the classroom. But schools are finding it more and more difficult to bring students to museums, historical sites and cultural organizations. Field Trip Grants help give children these unique, firsthand learning experiences.
Request for Proposals: The Latino Community Fund DEADLINE: September 26, 2011
The Latino Community Fund is seeking proposals from
Latino–led/Latino-accountable groups, programs and organizations which
are conducting successful culturally relevant and linguistically
appropriate services and efforts with and on behalf of Latinos in
Washington State. Grants awards are between $1,000 and $5,000 for general operations.
The due date for applications is 5:00pm September 26, 2011.
The
grants will be given at the Latino Community Fund Awards brunch on November 11 & 12, 2011.
Request for Proposals: Connecting Latin American Performing Artists with U.S. Audiences DEADLINE: Feb 10, 2012
• Applicants must be a consortium of 3-5 presenting organizations (priority if at least one is an emerging group). •
Proposal includes performances by Latin American artists/ensembles (see
list of countries) plus community engagement opportunities with
performers. • Performances must be in different cities, towns or within a specific distance from each venue (see guidelines). •
Performances cannot be school (K-18) performances. Professional venue
performances are coordinated by/with established presenting
organizations with at least 3-years of continued touring presenters. • If funded, network and capacity-building assistance is also offered.
